As a senior producer at WNYC, I oversaw and managed all aspects of Radio Rookies, the station’s award-winning youth media program, while working with teens and young adults to produce audio documentaries about their lives and communities.
In 2023, I received a Gracie Award for best radio documentary for a piece about a young woman’s journey to reconnect with her incarcerated father. In 2020, an episode I produced and reported for 70 Million received the Third Coast Directors’ choice award.
Previously, I produced audio features, digital stories and photojournalism focused on issues of inequality, race, social movements and immigration at St. Louis Public Radio.
In 2019, I traveled to the United States-Mexico border as part of a fellowship with the International Women’s Media Foundation. While there, I reported on the use of cash bail in immigration detention cases and on asylum seekers waiting to cross into the U.S.
