Julia Botero

I’m a podcast producer and consultant based in New York City. I currently work with filmmakers, writers and fellow audio-makers to create podcast pilots out of initial concepts. I have the experience and patience required to explain the industry to creators from different mediums interested in exploring podcasting as a way to bring their creative idea to life. I produced long-form narrative podcasts from the ground up while at Gimlet Creative, Gimlet Media's advertising arm. All were highly collaborative creations of narrative storytelling. I also brainstormed and executed ideas for multiple ad campaigns across Gimlet editorial shows. Before that I reported for the NPR member station North Country Public Radio covering the Army, agriculture, development, local politics and snow. Before that, I produced NPR's flagship news magazine programs All Things Considered, Weekend Edition and Morning Edition. My radio stories have been broadcasted on NPR, Snap Judgment and other programs.
