Alyssa Jeong Perry is an award-winning Los Angeles-based reporter with a love for audio and narrative storytelling. Her voice can be heard on Reveal, NPR, KPCC, KQED, and beyond. And her words can be found in The Nation, The Guardian US, and other outlets.
Alyssa, along with Will Evans, won the 2018 IRE Radio Award for their audio documentary investigation about how Tesla undercounted their factory workers’ injuries to the government. Their work was recognized with the 2018 Third Coast International Audio award for "Radio Impact” and are 2018 Loeb finalists.
She was a producer and reporter at KQED and moonlit at Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting. And she’s reported in Central America and Asia.
Alyssa is now a health reporter at KPCC.
