Dessane Lopez Cassell is a curator, writer, and editor based in New York. In addition to her work with artists and the written word, she has over five years of experience in podcasting and radio production. Cassell’s audio projects include hosting and co-producing “Variations on a Theme” (a Microsoft/Listen podcast focused on the legacy of the conceptual artist Sol LeWitt); co-hosting the English-language radio show at Roskilde Festival in Denmark (a live daily show featuring musical guests and festival attendees); and years of experience hosting and producing community and college radio in the US, UK, and South Africa. Raised in New York City, Cassell is of Dominican and Black American descent and currently works in arts media.
