I am a professor of journalism at Baruch College and a former executive producer and editor for WNYC and KCRW. I am an expert on arts and culture, business, immigration and climate change. My work has appeared on places like Studio 360, Columbia Journalism Review, The Pulse and The World. I have also created “Celestial Blood/Sangre Celestial,” the first bilingual radionovela podcast. I love art in all shapes and forms but, as a good Brazilian, I particularly enjoy samba.
