Hana Baba is a Sudanese American radio journalist- host of "Crosscurrents"- the award-winning daily newsmagazine on NPR station KALW Public Radio in San Francisco. She reports on immigrants and communities of color, health, education, culture, religion, and arts. Her work also appears on NPR, PRI, BBC, and OZY.

Hana is also co-host of the award winning podcast The Stoop, which explores stories from across the Black diaspora.

Hana teaches/speaks on podcasting and radio voicing/narration in the San Francisco Bay Area-at USF, SFSU, and is on the team of UC Berkeley's Advanced Media Institute's Podcast Bootcamp.

Her work has won awards from NABJ, the San Francisco Press Club, the Society of Professional Journalists Northern California, and she was named a Bay Area African Cultural Icon by the California Legislature.
