Irena Hwang (she/they) is currently an intern at NPR's Planet Money. Prior to Planet Money, she worked as a data journalist at the Associated Press and wrote features for The Dallas Morning News. Hwang completed her M.A. in journalism and Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Stanford University, and her M.Eng. B.S. degrees in EE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
