Asthaa Chaturvedi

I'm driven by public service journalism. Over the last four years I've reported on the journey of unaccompanied minors leaving Central America for the United States, the refugee crisis in Europe, the 2016 presidential election, the battle over voting rights, and entrepreneurship. I also produced Caliphate, an award-winning podcast about the Islamic State from The New York Times. Currently I’m reporting and producing On the Media, a weekly investigation into how the media shapes our worldview.

I love working on deeply reported, narrative projects and finding the moments that allow the audience to step out of their world — into to someone else's.
