I'm a historian by training, with an emphasis on oral history, with a Masters in History from Georgia State University. My research focus is race and gender in the late 20th century US South. Additionally, I have 20 years' experience in nonprofits in Atlanta and around the South working on labor, environmental, criminal justice, and anti-poverty issues. I produce a podcast, Change Over Time, that historicizes things I geek. While I am capable of sound design, my great strength is thinking about stories from a historical and/or community-based angle.
