I'm new-ish to audio, took some classes in college that had to do with audiovisual practice and fell in love with the art form. Searching for jobs have been rather difficult because I wasn't able to apply for internships during undergrad (was working two part-time jobs) and I don't have any credentials or work experience in the field. I could really relate to what Phoebe Wang said, due to there not being many Asian Americans and minorities in American media in general, but also not knowing where to look or who to go to for guidance. I am interested in mental health advocacy, the body-positive movement, veganism, and working towards bridging the gap between communities of color with affordable access to vegan food (kind of like what Jaden Smith is doing right now with his food truck). My goal is to be a voice for marginalized identities, especially those who are poor POC and suffer from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder and depression/anxiety.
