I'm a first-gen American with roots in Central America -- Costa Rica and El Salvador respectively.
I have concrete experience unique to my career as a budding journalist with a colorful background. This includes writing, reporting and producing photos for two public radio stations, KERA in Dallas, Texas and KCRW in Los Angeles; writing, reporting and producing multimedia for The Associated Press entertainment desk; and producing video and digital content for NBC/CW-affiliate KSBY TV in San Luis Obispo, California.
I've been recently hired as a reporter-host for KTOO, public radio for Juneau, Alaska.
