I’m Samantha, a multimedia journalist, radio producer and freelance videographer.
Currently, I am a radio producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, where I work on national programs such as As It Happens, Cross Country Checkup, Day 6 and Campus.
My work has appeared on CBC, VICE, NBC News, Refinery29, South China Morning Post and NOW Magazine.
However, the projects I would love to explore doing would be things that talk about race and identity, arts and culture and what it's like to be a second generation North American.
My biggest struggles as a journalist in Canada is the lack of POC mentors and opportunities available to us. Ideally, I would love if there was someone I could occasionally speak with to get career advice, and development opportunities.
