In 2006 I started as a production assistant for the business show, Marketplace. Not too long after, financial news became THE story, as we went through the financial collapse of 2008.
In 2012 I joined the team of a newly created morning show on a local NPR station - it was interesting because it was absolute chaos ... but I was able to create a production work flow (something I learned at Marketplace) and instituted some standard procedures. The host of the show used to joke that broadcasting the show in the morning was like that scene from Star Wars when they were fixing the Millennium Falcon as it was actually flying ... and that I was Han Solo.
But last year I embarked on a exciting new endeavor in my career, a reporter/producer for the newly created podcast production company, Western Sound. It's been different working for a client based company versus a news organization, but so far its been very rewarding.
Oh and if you're hear to nerd out over MMA, Black Panther, Luke Cage, Silver Surfer, Atlanta (tv show) or Game of Thrones ... I'm your man.
